Student Community Center “St. Kliment Ohridski” 1997 organizes a competition for the realization of an original short film script.
The selected screenplay and director will receive production and financial support (up to BGN 5 000), as well as basic technical equipment (camera, recording device, microphones, lighting) for the realization of their short film. The film has to be completed in 2025.
The competition is implemented with the financial support of the Sofia Municipality ‘Active Community Centres’ Programme.
Deadline for submissions: Sunday, Feb. 23rd, 2025, 11:59 pm.
PARTICIPATION CONDITIONS:
1. The competition is open to young authors up to 35 years of age.
2. The short film must be up to 15 minutes in total length and can be in any film genre. It is essential for us that the script possesses original idea, frank expression and a distinctive authorial style.
3. The author’s previous professional experience is irrelevant. It is important, however, to have at least one already realized artistic project, which shows their creative aspirations and motivation.
MATERIALS REQUIRED FOR PARTICIPATION:
1. Script.
2. Director’s statement and visual concept.
3. Implementation team (may be incomplete).
4. Director’s portfolio (containing at least one already realized artistic project).
