The Greek edition of the poetry collection of the Bulgarian poet Axinia Mihailova “With the eyes of angels, imprisoned in a shelter”, published by the Athenian publishing house “Enastron”, translated by Blagorodna Filevska Panagou, was presented on 10.04.2024, under the patronage of the Consulate General of Thessaloniki in Komotini. T
The meeting was part of the project “Bridges of the Word – Encounter with Bulgarian Literature” initiated by Violeta Ioannidou, lecturer in Bulgarian language and culture at the Democritus Thracian University. Lecturers and Greek students from the “Bulgarian Language, Literature and Culture” major at Democritus University took part in the event and presented their translations of Bulgarian poetry accompanied by guitarist Yorgos Liratzis, a graduate of the Academy of Music, Dance and Fine Arts in Plovdiv. The meeting and the presentation were also attended by Roumen Barosov, author of the foreword to the translated book.
