Song

“St. Kliment Ohridski” 1997 Community Centre is a community for SONGS.
The group for authentic Bulgarian folklore was founded in 2000 by vocal pedagogue Maria Topalova with students from Sofia Theological Seminary “St.. John of Rila”. Rehearsals take place every Wednesday at the STS “St. John of Rila”. The idea behind the creation of the group is the preservation and dissemination of authentic Bulgarian songs. The group is attended by young people aged 14 to -19. Every year it participates in competitions and festivals and has been awarded many prizes over the years. The greatest wish of Maria Topalova, the leader of the group, is that the group members love and show the beauty of Bulgarian folk songs, that they spread them among their peers and pass them on to the next generations, so that the tradition is not lost.
